The Brown Administration believes that each and every resident, school,church, small business and stakeholder of this City deserves to have an active voice and choice within their given communities. Power is in your vote and every vote shall count! All noted above in this community have a right to receive quality goods and services comparable to those which are offered and or afforded in other neighboring communities and supported accordingly based upon individual, group and organization/corporation needs:
A. Quality Education - Develop and Deploy a State of the Art Education System -all students of the Cleveland Municipal School District shall receive the same educational opportunities at will. Students who have been assessed and or deemed "special needs" shall receive reasonable and affordable services deemed necessary to assure that no child shall be left behind. A zero tolerance "action order of safety" shall be immediately implemented within all schools that requires the full "positioning" attention of all staff with a special focus on security personnel. In addition an Education Steering Committee will be immediately developed/support to assist Board Members with vital decisions being made and parental engagement. More so, an Oversight Committee will be implemented to oversee and monitor policies, procedures and financial responsibilites of the district set forth by state law and community values. This Committee will report directly to the Mayor per 60 days for appropriate accountability of all services rendered and procured within our school district. The Education Steering Committee will complement the appointed school board - assist the school's CEO (on hands) - support and invest in our teachers - build relationships with our parents - engage and prepare our children
The Brown Administration will follow the concept of "Circle of Care" in effort of implementing a Drastic Reform Operable Measure of Holistic Achievement: Revamping the system using the same resources "shrinking theory" while promoting internal administrative growth, staff professional development, technical support and progress, and parent-student education empowerment revitalization
*The targeted goal for the Administrative Executive Team including the CEO will operate under the concept of "Raising the Bar for Pure Excellence". Reform for the executive team will be operationally revamped to a top light administration, mid-medium middle management "customer first" team to a bottom heavy "direct assistance" workable and cooperative global unit.
*The targeted goals set forth within the Brown Administration will focus on excellence in customer service, relationship building and effective resources/community partners, creative planning and learning techniques, easy and accessible workable "well thought out" curriculum, proper positioning of support staff, educators, security personnel and students through comprehensible assessments with a special focus on youth deemed as "special needs" and or "at risk". High teacher /student morale will be the cloud of choice for all schools within our district. Raising the Bar for every department of the CMSD will be of Great Expectation!
*The targeted expectations of the Brown Administration for the tone of our schools will be noted as a "zero tolerance" micro managed atmosphere for all ill elements and corrupt behaviors. (Including those behaviors exhibited by any and all employees of the district) We are readily prepared to execute a safety positioning plan that will restructure internal safety positioning plans in order to provide a safe environment to our learning community.
*The targeted expectations of the Brown Administration for the image of our students will be as it is - student uniforms. Students will be empowered to attend school daily, prepared and on time. This administration also strongly recommend that all staff employed by our school district wear school blazers and or shirts in effort of showing a sense of school pride and exceptional role modeling for our students and parents.
*The targeted expectations for all CMSD parents will be to engage in the process of their children's education. All parents will be expected to have direct involvement with their assign school(s) in effort of displaying a sense of "real" concern for their children's educational growth of success. Parents will be expected to attend parent teacher conferences, open houses, extra curriculum school activities as it is set forth within individual/school expectations/special events/programs and policies. (The Education Steering Committee will serve as an inside ear to the school administrators and support system to parents)
*The targeted expectation of educators under the Brown Administration is to encourage, support, empower and command professional staff development; prepare and encourage educators to use creative "hands on" techniques to bear in the transferring of learning, engage students to improve understanding and retention and build relationships with community resources, co-workers, parents, internal and external support mechanisms. The Brown Administration clearly will command educators to be sound in educating our students rather than promoting and encouraging the grade.
* The targeted expectation of the districts learning curve will be based upon age appropriate student developmental acheivements, grade level-behavior modification and socialization skills, employment and independent living techniques including fundamental prinicpals of reading, creative writing and arithmetic with a special focus on community issues: obtaining credit, budgeting, voting and financial management
